I completed my LLB(Hons)/BA at the University of Auckland, and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court in 2020. My LLB Honours dissertation focused on the use of evidence of sexual history in civil and criminal trials in New Zealand. During my time at university, I spent time studying overseas and also worked for the Equal Justice Project.
Prior to and after graduation I worked in a busy suburban legal practice on a range of civil and family matters. I have also volunteered time at the Citizens Advice Bureau. I have been involved in District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal matters.
I work predominantly in the following practice areas:
• General civil litigation, including contractual disputes
• Debt recovery
• Family law including division of relationship property, Care of Children Act matters, Family Protection Act claims, and protection orders
• Trusts and wills
